Hi! I’m Sara. I create dreamy, nature-inspired watercolor collections that feel soft, modern, and uplifting for home decor, textiles, and wall art and more.

I've been creating designs for products with decades of experience, starting out in wholesale at the National Stationery Show. My greeting card line Paper Loop, has been loved by hundreds of boutique shops across the US and loved by customers nationwide. My unique background in graphic design and wholesale combined with my passion for watercolor and illustration lets my style come through with products that shine everyday. It’s my passion to create designs that translate to standout products that customers love to use everyday!
Growing up in Southern California created an endless amount of coastal and mountain inspiration for me. With countless beach days, and trips to the snow, along with visiting many botanical gardens, I’ve always been inspired by nature, animals and landscapes. I started my 50 states map series as an ode to my home state, which then expanded into most of the 50 states in watercolor. After working as a travel column illustrator for Better Homes & Gardens, I continued to explore my travel watercolor style, and discovered my passion for combining watercolor with repeat patterns, falling in love with all things surface design.
My first collection Sunnyside was launched with Windham Fabrics, and I have continued to grow my surface designs and illustrations for stationery brands, greeting cards, tea towels and more. You may have seen one of my cards in Trader Joes or Barnes & Nobles, and other cool stores like those!
After graduating from California Institute of the Arts as a graphic designer, I’ve been obsessed with making art in new ways, experimenting and continuing a life long journey of creating. Although CalArts did not teach me how to paint, it taught me the most important skill, which is how to see things in your own unique way. When I’m not painting, designing or drawing, I’m hanging out with my family and enjoying outdoor adventures in the California sun!
